| I know i've looked this up but i've forgotten. For a plastic faun shall I put the heat mat inside or outside? |

| I have mine outside. But put the probe and thermometer inside so you get an accurate reading from inside the Faun. |

| yay! we handled it in the shop yesterday and we're hoping we can today, we've picked out a name, we don't know what gender it is but we've decided is a she until proven otherwise :) |

| As Simmy82 says put the mat on the outside of the faun. I have the thermometer probe inside to read the temperature that the snake is actually experiencing but the probe I have on the outside in direct contact with the heatmat. You then adjust the mat temperature relying on the digital thermometer for readings rather than the dial on the thermostat. |

| Nah, not worth it. Does the job and will be find as in 6 - 8 months you'll need to buy a bigger one when you increase the Faun/Viv size. |
