If I were to get another male snake, would there be a problem keeping the set up in the same room as our yearling male's set up? I don't want to upset him, but as they would be in their own tanks would this cause any problems? The snake I'm considering is 3 yrs old. Just thought I'd ask before getting too ahead of myself

If they are in seperate vivs then I don't see it being a problem. I have got 5 snakes in one room and 6 in another. I am considering moving them around a bit ready for next years breeding season though so that the males and females are in seperate rooms.

You do really need to have them in seperate rooms during quaranteen though to make sure the new snake doesn't bring home any nasties. I haven't managed it with all of mine but I keep them as far away from each other as possible and practise strict hygiene between each snake.

That's a good point, I never even thought about quarantine so glad I asked now :-)I'm still toying between an older boy or a hatchling when Voldemort moves into his new tank :-)

I noticed a short term change in behaviour with my two when they were moved into one room. Their vivs are stacked and they can't see each other but were definitely aware the other one was around. The younger one went off his food for a few weeks and both were a bit skittish but soon settled down and are very happy and relaxed now.

I have 2 yearling males in their own half of a 3 foot partitioned viv and they have shown no change in behaviour at all. I'd be more inclined to think there'd be problems with males and females being close to each other once mature.

I've read there can be problems when there's a female in the same room, so will definitely get a male if I do decide on another...just bought an extra heat mat & mat stat just in case

I have both sexes too in the same room, I have no problems. They are stacked and the king and the oldest corn seem aware of each other and the female corn but no problems. Snakes on their won can go off food with being horny but I have never had that problem with my corn and he can smell a female in the same room!

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3
