i have looked and looked but i cant work out corn snake morphs it seems to me to be more about pattern with some of them than colour as there are so many colour variations. is there any literature online that explains the morphs and colourings in english for a newbie to interpret. its just all confusing

Kathy Loves book briefly explains genetics and has a few examples in it, and you're guaranteed to learn something from reading it regardless of the amount of experience you have! http://www.amazon.com/Corn-Snakes-Comprehensive-Herpetocultural-Library/dp/1882770706/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1313229994&sr=1-1

There's also a book on morphs and genetics by Charles Pritzel that comes out every year, and the 2011 edition is out. This one goes into a bit more detail about the genetics and morphs, also one I'd recommend. Unfortunately, you'd have to order it from the States but when I did, I think it worked out to about $16 including shipping which isn't too bad. http://cornguide.com The downside is you have to wait for about a week for it to get here since it's coming from the United States
