I was told he was Anerythristic (Type A) Striped Motley (grey+yellow+darkeyes, stripes, spots. as the guy explained in simple language lol). But someone said he wasn't.. now I'm fairly confused. Please could someone identify him? He is light grey with darker-grey/light-brown stripes, which break up at several points into spots. He's got a yellow throat and the first half him has yellow sides also he's got dark eyes. Pictures:
P.S. the stripes are not as brown as they appear in some pictures (thats my dodgy lighting), they're grey with brown mixed. P.P.S. (lol) sorry for the amount of pictures

Thanks :)
Spoke to a breeder in a pet store just now, he said that he was Anery Striped Motley, but with some Butter corn or Sunkissed because of the large amount of yellow. Not sure what you guys think but sounds reasonable. |

Okay, so gingerpony says they think he's a ghost!
"The Ghost corn is an Anerythristic Corn(type "A") that has an active (expressed) Hypomelanistic gene. These are among my favourite snakes. As hatchlings they can be distinguished from normal Anerythristic corns by their lighter shades. They often look like faded Anerythristic corns. There can be a lot of variation among ghost corns depending on the amount of yellow in the animal. There are some that have shades of pink and even lavender." |

have you spokem to the breeder to find out what the parents are?
'anery with a bit of butter thrown in' isn't a morph, and if that's the best he's come up with i'd seriously question this breeder's knowledge of morphs lol |

I don't know the breeder, I bought him from a reptile shop. The reptile guy had him down as anery striped motley. Lol the 'anery with a bit of butter thrown in' was another general pet store where I spoke to a retired breeder who asked if I needed help when I was looking around. He didn't know what the snake was, but it was a rough guess, I only had two pictures on my phone to show.
Dodgy. I know. It's not especially important I know, I'd just like to know what the fruit of his loins (phrase my dad used xD) would look like :P |

I'd go with anery but he could possibly be a ghost.. hes like a bigger version of my Orlando.. I *think* eeji once said that the motley gene has it's own hypo effect which could explain why he's lighter than a 'normal' anery
its possible that the only way you could find out for definite as to what his genetics are (apart from talking to the breeder!) would be to breed him with a hypomel or hypo and see what you get..
i think if you bred him with a hypo you would get hypo babies PROVIDING that he IS a ghost, if you don't then he's an anery if that is wrong then someone please correct me - my genetics are not very good! |

That's actually fabulous! I've been planning to breed him with my already-adult female who just happens to be a hypo (het lavender).
Thanks! If you're wrong, then still thanks! lol |

I'm no expert, but I'm leaning towards ghost rather than anery myself. He's gorgeous whatever. |
