Is there a chance she may have got out through one of the holes in the lid that you fit the probes through? Bet she enjoyed that double pink feed. |

thats a good idea so long as your viv is escape proof, if she can get out of a little hole she might fit through the gap on the viv doors - you could place some folded card in the gap and just make sure all gaps are blocked up. Without trying to sound harsh one day she will get out and you won't find her |

Why not try putting her in a rub box instead of a faun? If you got one of those lock&lock brand boxes, and put lots of teeny holes in it, no way she'll get out. I say lock&lock, as the tops snapdown on all four sides, and they're watertight, so the edges are sealed.

Thank goodness you found her so quickly both times.
I'm getting my first tiny hatchling (Barnaby was 6mths and very big for his age when I got him) next weekend and am getting more and more nervous about it escaping after reading all these stories. I've already got an airtight (have obviously added airholes) clip lock lided sandwich box ready for it, so hopefully it won't escape from that. |
