Finally got Ezio out for a play today. We rescued this snake a few weeks ago and he's doing really well. He's had a skin-shed, is eating well and seems very happy :-)

Thanks everyone for your kind comments
@Karakal: Do you think he is too fat? I did read about not letting them get fat but it's hard to tell as we are newbies to any kind of snake. We want a happy healthy Ezio, so here's a pic of him stretched out yesterday. We were at this point waiting for him to poop after no bowel movement for 2 weeks - he's pooped today tho
We're feeding him one medium mouse once a week; which he instantly snaps up. @scottishbluebird: My wife calls him the snake bracelet LOL |

to be honest, an obese snake will start developing fat around the base of the tail, put your fingers at either side and have a squidge around, if its squishy, thats fat storage |

I'd say he is about as big around the body as you would want, if he gets any bigger then think about cutting his food down a bit. As he is new I'd be feeding him a suitably sized mouse every 10 days and monitor his weight over a few months, you'll soon get an idea of what he should be eating. |
