i know my little Sydney is still far to small to have a house upgrade at the min but, i have been thinking (the wife thinks its dangerous when i do this).
I have an old cheep desk which has been taken apart and stored in my garage for ages. Still in good nick but surplus to requirements. Its the type made out of chip board with the plastic coating on it.
Would this type of material be alright to use to make a tank upgrade for when Sydneys bigger. Was thinking (L)2.5ft x (W) 1ft x (H) 1ft sort of size.

Also with there being some pre drilled holed in the desk could i use that sticky back plastic to cover the inside walls ?Obviously making sure not to leave any sticky edges for sydney to get stuck on.
