sorry for flooding the forum guys but i'm just wondering about the rattling a cornsnake does on the tail. do they do this everytime you go to pick them up and handle them or will she grow out of it baring in mind i only got her yesterday and she's probably still nervous.

You need to leave her alone for a few days to settle. That tail rattle is a warning, go away, I'm scared.
Most grow out of it and later you can chose to ignore it and just pick her up but right now it means she is a bit stressed and seeing as you only just got her, you want her to settle down and feel safe and secure so just leave her be. |

Yeah the essential stuff still needs doing, just don't pick the snake up for a week (or chase her round with your finger lol) |
