right guys, its been really hot in the UK over the last few days and its messed my temperatures up! the hot end is okay at 29/30 degrees because i have the heat mat connected to my thermostat so it controls the temp but my cold end which is usually 21/22 degrees has shot up to 27 degrees. any advise or will it be okay?

Is your tank in sunlight? Could always add another water bowl to the cold end - get some airflow in the room your snake is kept in.

It's very warm here last few days and both rooms the snakes are in do get very warm but cool end temps are still fine and I still use the heatmats on the warm ends as the temps there have not changed at all.

Make sure your tanks not in any direct sunlight.

Its been 30 degrees today here and my temperatures have barely stepped out of line at all, maybe an extra degree in ambient temperature but nothing out of the usual. External temperatures should have little to no effect on the hot end temperatures unless the external temperatures overtake the max temp of the hot end (Basically if it was hotter than your normal max temp in the hot end, So very unlikely in this country). If your hot end is been affected by the warm weather check your setup, only the ambient/cold end temp should be affected.

Hi, hope you don't think I'm hijacking but it's te same thing for me, the cool end is about 26c, they're not in direct light, I'm confident the mats are fine and it's just the hot weather so do I just put a water bowl in for them to use if they want? Don't suppose there's much else to do?

Its fine they can (and do) get in the water bowl as a last resort. But its still a safe temperature, they are tougher than we give them credit for, they will survive a day of warm weather just fine.

if they were in their native country the temperatures i'm sure would be much more variable than that of britain and our 2 day summers

Very true though I don't know what bit of the UK you live in but you get summers twice the length of Northern Irish summers.

don't worry about it - check the temperatures in Miami for today (Florida is the highest concentration of the corns range) they are higher than todays UK temperature.
