I took the advice I was given and didn't lift the eggs, but I candled the top egg last night and inside is a large black mass, and after a couple of mins it moved.
I'm so excited :)

I realise this thread will get locked.. just want to say I still think its unfair, but I shouldn't have said what I said.
It's very easy to misunderstand the tone of short posts obviously..

Candling from the top without moving the eggs is what I would do, but to be honest I have no idea if there is any opinions on any effect from candling, I'd imagine that every once in a while for a few seconds would be ok but a few times a day for a minute or 2..... Not sure either way about that, aside from it'd drop incubator temps to much.

As for locking, I specifed that threads asking for advice. This is not one.
It also is not because of anything you said directly, it was how you came across. If you'd like to discuss it further, my email address is in my profile, it saves clogging up this thread with stuff that isn't necessary.

I don't want to discuss it further, I put it down to a misunderstanding of tone.
I'll just search through posts to find the info I need, I don't want to argue.
Thanks though.
