My children are very into art and creative construction. They want to make a hide for our corn out of paper macheand then paint it. I am wary of this as i am conserened wether paper mache or paint could be harmful for the snake? I personally fell it will be ok but would like your advice as you lot are the experts.
Thanks

Paper mache shouldn't cause any issues, but when/if it gets wet, then it will go gooey again.

Have a looky at this thread: http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=3138
It works well, and can be made into many shapes an sizes.

many moons ago i made a paper mache hide for my corn and northern pine. they both loved them...too much infact. Would recommend doing this. cheap way of keeping our friends happy. and easy to make new if they get broken or soiled.
