I have a microclimate heat mat stat controlling my corns heat mat and when I get my 2nd snake I was going to use that for the 2 heat mats but how will the stat control the temp of the 2nd mat if the probe is on the other mat? Or would I just be better buying another stat for the heat mat?

Thanks :)

Mind is changing on snakes I want now lol so am researching these to find out what would be best - Milk Snakes and Dwarf Boa possibly - Crawl Cay, Sonoran, Tarahumara or Vera Cruz and poss a Hoggie, African House and Rat snake. Also Trinket Snakes.

You just kinda, adjust them until both mats read the same, through use of digital thermometers :)

Just use digital thermometers for each tub and if the heatmats are identcal size and wattage you will find they both stay at roughly the same temps.

I have many mats on my stats, and although its not recommended, I have different size mats and tubs, all keep very close temps.

Just remember in the rare instance that the mat with the stat on fails and goes cold, the other mat will keep heating up!

If you have everything there, test it. Set it all up and monitor the temps. Might be ok.
