| they realign their jaws after a feed by gaping or yawning. mine often do the head rubbing thing, i'm guessing it's probably to get any of the mouse's shed hair from around their face or to have a bit of a clean up so they don't smell like a prey item to another snake. |

| thanks :) well ive had her for about just over a month now (wow seems a hell of a lot longer!) and yeh she has always constricted like this :)... her 1st few feeds she wuld strike and constrict all in 1- faster that u culd blink! and some feeds she will b lazy and just strike and wait 4 me 2 let it go... but i dont hehe...i wiggle the mouse and she will constrict with the top half of her body... (but this isnt good enough haha) so i wiggle it reli fast wiggles so its like its vibratin and hey presto - a ful constriction :D wooo hooo! haha :) xxx |

one of my yearlings still doesn't constrict. the other female yearling has just started to a few feeds ago and she's rather, er, extreme! proper strike and death-roll constrict!!
the male yearling has always struck and constricted since i got him 6 months ago. i think it's something they grow into  |

| I tryed tugging it back a bit but he somehow managed to get the end of his tail up and over the edge of the washing up bowl I feed him in and pull himself out of it... I was like get back innn lol. |
