Hi everyone,
Just would like some advice on lighting please.
I currently use a 2.0% UVB tube for my 2ft x 1ft viv, with my 2ft Carolina female which gives 10-12 hours daylight, and then turn off for 10-12 hours nightime. (as my room is dark, and not much light comes through)
Now, I have read that some say the flickering can make them blind, other's say it's beneficial because effectively it is sunlight, and the UV is what the sun would be if they are in the wild.
Because someone mentioned the negative side, that's put me slightly on edge.
So would like some advice please on lighting (without heating)
What would be the best lights to use for day time - 12 hour cycle, that would not caused blindness, and that also does not give off hardly any heat if any, eg leds etc?
and also does anyone use moonlight blue LEDS for night times and if so does this benefit or have any negative effect on corn snakes?
Links would be great too please, to the product on a website perhaps or ebay
Thanks in advance |
