I've been good not to disturb my eggs in the incubator as it's tempting to check them everyday.

They are on vermiculite with sphagnum moss over them.

Last night there was some white whispy mould in the moss, not on the eggs. I removed some of the moss with the mould.

Is there anything else I should be doing? Does it mean it's too moist in there?

Thanks
Simon

sphagnum moss contains tannins which act as a mould inhibitor.......do you have a pic of this mould? sounds a bit bizarre!

Here's a pic of the mould (bottom right). There's not much of it.

Here's a pic of the eggs (under the moss). Any ideas if the nubbins (the bits that stick out) are normal?

Thanks
Simon

I too get mould growing on my sphagnum moss from time to time, I normally just pull it off.

And no, those nubbins aren't normal, but they hopefully won't cause too many problems and the eggs still look good.
