I will shortly be buying a motley cornsnake, the snake is five years old and approximately 4 foot long.the viv will be 4 foot in length.I am thinking of using a lucky reptile dark spot ceramic heater (150 watt) with lamp cage and also a lucky reptile thermo control thermostat.
Would it be o.k. to use 2 extra large hide out caves, and a extra large water dish ?
All replies and recommendations gratefully recieved and much appreciated.

heya and welcome

the hides and water bowl sound fine but ideally run a heatmat through a thermostat to heat the viv, belly heat is better for corns rather than basking heat, and a mat is cheaper to run too

Hi and welcome. I agree with GP. I much prefer heatmats although there are some people on here that use bulbs. Good to see you getting it guarded and statted tho. too many times have we seen snakes get burnt
