Hiya all,
I got bought my first corn snake for mothers day,Best present ever. Though we had been talking about them and had done our research before hand.
I am now the proud owner of what we think/was labeled as a caramel, not to bothered as I loved all of the colours. Don't know the sex of the tiny thing, but we have named him Hades as my son is really into Greek mythology.
Hades was bought from Vanishing world near Canterbury and we were very impressed with the shop after visiting a few around this part of Kent over the last few weeks, great advice lovely friendly staff and a huge selection of everything you need...their tropical fish and coral section was utterly mind blowing, when I saw the staff cleaning and pampering the animals I knew this was the pet shop for us.
Any ways hello all I will post a pik of Hades up soon and my vivarium so you can all give me advice, I have read up loads but the advice of real people can be so much more valuable.

Thank you all for the welcome, I took this photo the day we got him home (April 4Th),I am a photographer and he will likely be used in a studio environment from time to time when he is bigger of course and if he is comfortable with it(if so I will try to remember to post the photos up)......
(taken with my macro lens from the other side of the room and cropped so sorry for the fuzzyness)
I will post a few more on the corn snake photos bit in a few weeks just wanna let him settle in now, though he seems very fine and is feeding well.

Thank you for your lovely comments, We'll see what colour he turns then :)
He seems to be alot more active today (poking his head out more rather than curling away when someones about) maybe it's this lush kent weather or he is beginning to really settle and not be to bothered when the boys are running about....very very pleased cornsnake owner here!! |
