hi i recently got my corn snake mango on the 19th march. does he need a checkup i dont know how old he is.... he has eaten 4 mice since the 19th but is not passing waste otherwise he is very healthy.. where the heatmat is he wont go in the hut as this is where the heat mat is kerry |

hyi she is fine and is now going in her hut, ( think mango is a she )n thanks for everyones welconme... how can you tell when the snakes about to shred as mango hasnt but alot of snakes seem to be at the moment and before i had her she was in with another snake that has shredded already . ;-) |

hey and welcome shedding isnt a set thing - it happens as the snake grows and they tend to go a dusty colour and their eyes go cloudy before clearing up again and then they eventually shed did the shop where you got her not give you any feeding/shedding records? |

no my boyfriend got her from his brother but her eyes have now turned blue bless her.... how long after she has shredded can i handle her again and since her eys have turned blue she has sat in the same place and not moved really and normally she is active is this normal? |

They usually go into hiding when they are blue as they cannot see very well. Most tend to get quite stessy if you get them out too. Once she has shed you will be able to handle her again. I usually give mine a quick once over after they have shed to make sure it has all come off especially if it has broken anywhere.
Are you able to find you if your boyfriends brother knows if it is a male or female and also if the other snake it was in with was male or female? How big is Mango? |
