hey guys,
i think i might be posting this in the wrong area but i need an answer rather quickly. dont want to loose sleep over it.
i've noticed a few irregularities in his scales. unfortunatly i cant get a picture up.
i'm tempted to think they're burns, as i've been without a thermostat for 4 days and although i've kept a close eye on the tempreture i'm still worried thats what it is.
he's a carolina corn, and it was yesterday i noticed it, he seems to have small patches of colour on the spots on top of him. but they're the same colour as his scales surrounding the spots. they seem to be in a correlating pattern in exactly the same place on his spots, i'm probably making a lot of fuss about nothing but i'm quite worried. i've checked for deformities on them, and the ones towards the back seem fine. but i'm not too sure about the ones near the front. they're on his side which is what concerns me, theres no heat sources on the side of his tank, the only heat source is under the tank and his belly looks fine.
does anyone else have similar patches on their snake? or is it something i should take him to the vets for?
also, i'm getting a thermostat in the morning.
if its a possible illness/burn is there any particular behavior i should watch out for?

Its unlikely to be a burn, a picture would really help. It may just be the colouration on their side Is it a pattern repeated down the body but not really on the neck area or tail?

My anery corn isn't symmetrical so its probably nothing to worry about but if you can put up a photo (check the photo section for instructions) that would be best.

thank you, i can sleep a little easier now.
i'll try my best to get a photo up tommorow, if theres too much light at night he tends to run back into his hide. not had him 7 days yet, so he's still a little scared i think.
but he seems fine during the daylight hours with me there.

i couldnt get a good enough look through the glass to check him over, so i took the top of the viv off to get a good look at the marks.
thankfully it all looks fine :)
bought the thermostat today and thats all set up nicely, i'm comfortable that everything is running at the right tempreture now.
he also dosnt seem to mind me being in there to change his water now, he'll stay perfectly still but he dosnt rattle like he has been doing. and last night (after some time) he came out of his hide while i was in the room, he dosnt do that too much.
i know tommorow is only going to be day 6, but would you say its ok to feed him?
