I posted this elsewhere but thought it'd deserve and outing here to show that snakes never 'measure' their food and will eat what they can given the chance, which is one of the reasons that we all try to give our snakes the right sized prey items for their size.

but honestly, my mate's best friend's brother-in-law had a mate down the pub that had a ~python~ yes a ~huge~ python, and one morning, he woke up with it laying next to him in bed......................

It tried several times, on the ear, nose, tail, feet and other parts of the body before I had to give it something that it could actually eat.
There was no way that the snake was gonna give up though, it tried every possible way and was still trying.
