Hello all!
This is a request to all of you who knit, croquet, or have ever wanted to learn to knit! A friend of mine has set up a project to try and knit a load of blankets to send to Japan through the Red Cross after an urgent request was sent by British Officials that they needed blankets. All we need are a selection of 8"x8" squares (32 cast on stitches) posted to her address so she can sew them up and send them out to Japan!
We have 10 thus far personally (I myself have knitted three, and continue to provide my beginner assistance!) with a selection coming from her family and also some other friends and work colleagues!
Please, if you have some time and would like to support our aid effort, please check out the below link to the facebook event with all the details, select yourself as attending, and knit some squares! They are really easy and only take a short time to do, even as a beginner! Be sure to leave the tails long, so that they can be joined to the next square (when casting on and off) and please please please spare some time for this worthy effort!!
