I have two CB09 Lava het Amel corns.

Lately one has started to look very different to the other so thought I would show you some pics and you can let me know what you think.

Female Lava, shed a few weeks ago.

Eyes, not pink??

Sorry pics aren't great, but silver/lilac colour around saddles?? Also some black colouration??

Lower belly, black mark?

Upper belly

Now this is the male Lava who shed last night. I'm not sure now about his eyes since the shed. Do they look pink to you?

Saddles

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Hmm,looking at the male on the second photo I'd say his pupil looks red.
The female though?
Might be worth taking a photo with flash as it'll show up the colour of their pupils.

Right, got some pics of the pair of them together so you can clearly see the difference. Also It's very clear in these pics that the female does not have red eys but the male does. So, what is the female?

its possible the male is a lavamel, but you missed out any pics of the belly!!!

lava and lava, unmistakably! :D The differences are just natural variations as expected in any morph.

It's the normal eyes on the female that's confused me.
