hi all just a few questions this is my first time breeding corns

how do you know the female is pregnant

how many weeks does it take for the eggs to be laid

usually she'll have been paired up with a male...
you might notice some swelling when she ovulates, and a steady increase in size over the next 4-6 weeks. she might go off her food in this time, particularly towards the end as there's less and less room to digest food. she'll usually then have a pre-natal shed about a week before she lays, when she's shed add a roomy damp hide to the enclosure (if not done already) to give her chance to get used to the new hide and so encourage her to use it for laying. though some corns that i've had on newspaper still prefered to lay eggs under the newspaper - risking them being missed!!
