hi, i bought my snake from a reptile shop and they told me he was a cremsicle..but i have been doing so research and looking at pictures he seems to look like an amel...am i being stupid or is this a normal dilema... here is a pic anyway and if anyone could give me a solid answer i would be very grateful :)
i am also confused to what my other snake is..im stuck between if he is a carmel or a butter :/
im totally useless to identifiying corns so if anyone could tell me what either are it would be great :)

There is a lot of peachy/pink on the first snake, maybe you're right Lou.... Definitely a caramel for the second one !! |

I would also say caramel for the second, he can't be a butter because they have red eyes.
As for the first snake, a creamsicle is a Hybrid between a corn and a great plains rat snake so it could be either. But since you don't truly know you would have to go with what the shop owner said and treat as a creamsicle. So if you were planning on breeding him/her at any point all off spring would need to be classed as hybrids. |

The first pic is difficult to tell because the lighting isnt great but if it's the same snake as the one in your signiture I would say amel.

Going by the scar on the nose, i would say it is. I would err towards it being an amel, however, its very difficult to tell sometimes, the only accurate way is a scale count, there is a site which has the details on no of scales etc, but i havent a clue what it is! |

amel or creamsicle, its pretty much impossible a lot of the time to tell the difference.
the other he's not butter (butter has no black) and there is definitely caramel colour there but theres not much black so could also be amber or gold dust. Can you get a pic of his belly and a good clear close up of his eye? |
