27 c will give you roughly 55 days incubation, the temp gradient is very broad, 21 to 33, anything over 33 will kill the eggs very quickly, potentially before you even realise its gone that high. Staying lower down the scale will give you a better clutch, higher hatch rate and generally healthier babies. If you go too hot, you can get hot babies, they can be aggressive, poor feeders, and the potential for deformities is higher, kinks, missing organs, even a missing stomach! |
