Hi to you all, I have just aquired a 2 1/2 yr old cornsnake. She is due to be fed shortly but I have had conflicting advice from different folk, some say don't feed her in her Viv, others say its ok to do so. I'm not sure what to do as Ruby is our first snake, any advice much appreciated, Chris |

Was she in-viv fed before you got her?
And i'm sure others will agree its all down to personal preference of owner and snakie. Mine come out for feeding, makes it easier for me to weigh them etc before waving a big mousey at my girls |

Welcome to the forum.
As already said, the choice is yours.
I feed mine out of their rubs only because I like to weigh them first and spot clean the rubs and change their water while they are in a different tub eating :) |

Hello and welcome!
Yep, totally up to you. I feed my corns in their vivs with no problems at all, but they'll eat out of them too |

Hi Welcome o the forum. I feed mine in a seperate rub but that's just my choice, it really is up to yuo. If you've only just got her she should be left to settle for a week before you do anything with her. It won't hurt her to miss a meal while she's settling. Also leave her after she's been fed for 48 hours to digest her meal. Hope that helps. |

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Like everyone else says, it's completely up to you. I feed in a separate tank mainly to prevent my corn from ingesting any of the aspen bedding in his Exo terra. |

Our little girl who has learning didabilities thought it was good to watch and wanted to give Ruby her hamster, lol! |

It is amazing to watch. I feed mine both ways depending on my mood and what time I have. There is only Izzy that I feed solely in viv because he will not eat out of it. The only thing i will say is that if you feed in viv, try to make sure mousy is nice and dry to avoid substrate sticking to it and put it on some kitchen roll or a feeding dish. |

Welcome I'm glad you sorted your feeding concerns out I tend to feed mine outside unless he won't take it then I put it in a nice quiet part of his viv and leave them to get acquainted but usually don't have any problems how about getting some pics up so we can all see the lovely Ruby. |
