Today I gave little Medusa her first fuzzie, it was a fair sized one as well as they didn't have any 'smaller' ones so I had to make do with what they had. However she did strike at it and take it really well, gave her quite a big bump but she seems happy now hiding under her log with her head poking out.
So pleased

Go Medusa, growing up fast. Its amazing seeing them eat something bigger for the first time, really shows how their jaws work.

If it is quite a size in proportion to Medusa, I'd leave an extra day for handling etc specially as its the first, mainly for your own peace of mind. You'll know anyway if she is still hiding away and hasn't been out etc she is more than likely still digesting.

Ah I'm so pleased she took it straight away! She's still hiding but poking her head out watching the world go by, and there's still a little bump but she seems like a happy little snakey :D

It wont be long now until that little bump turns to a massive dump, lol. Spot took a slightly larger prey item on Saturday and he still has a little bit of a bump too sitting in his hammock also watching the world go by.

I marvel at their jaws every single feed, its just amazing how they do it, I even know how they do it but it still amazes me every week.
