Hey guys,

I dont know if any of you own one or have seen one in realy life,

But ive just been to my local reptile centre to buy some cleaning products and food and had a nosey at all their snakes.

I fell in love with the most beautiful Blue and red striped snake... It was a garter snake... i must say in comparison to the £40 baby corns... this was £115 so quite rare im guessing!!

But had the most beautiful colours, and ive been reading up on them and they live in swampy areas!!!

I cant wait until a couple of years when i have more experience to get one!!! please guys search San fransico garter snake on google and have a look at how beautiful they are and let me know what you think :)

All garters used to be cheap, they used to be the most common starter snake. Its the fact that they mostly eat fish on a much more regular basis that the trend turned towards corns. 15 years ago, garters were the price that corns are now!! they are stunning.

My uncle used to have four garters and a royal python as a kid They were gorgeous in the pictures... Then they ALL escaped at the same time. Royal turned up in a shoe. The garters re-appeared over the next year from floorboards one by one
