Hi guys, just wondering how you all stood on feeding corns with baby rats as well as mice. Went to the shop to buy a couple of frozen mice and they were out of the size I needed for striker and they recommended some rats. Fed striker one tonite and he was rather perplexed about the change, but ate it but was quite delicate about it rather than his usual enthusiastic strike and strangle hold lol

I wouldn't regularly use rats unless you were feeding up a skinny snake. The odd one here and there won't hurt though, I have a few rat pups in the freezer that I used to get the royal feeding, he is eating bigger rats now so maybe Spot will get a treat in the next few weeks. Waste not want not.

My Nimbus was on rat pups for 4 weeks as my shop had no correct size mice for him.

It's something alot of people will tell you not to do but I know other people also do it with no problems. Some did tell me that Nimbus may not go back to mice after but he went straight onto small mice with no problems.
