Hi all,i just fed my new corn snake for the first ever time. I have had him only a few days but his last feed was 6 days ago.I know your not supposed to feed for about a week but i just thought i would try it to see if he was hungry and oh wowwwwww... He didnt hesitate he was so good, went down in only about 2 mins i thought it would take much longer than that. I am soooo proud of him, by the way his name is Sol, latin for sun cause he is a butter and they love the sun... Ijust carnt wait till i can hold him again in a couple of days... |

Congrats on the feed. 7 Day settling in isn't a rule its a guideline, some snakes are fine with moving, others get stressed so as a guideline you leave them all as you dont know which way your snake will go. Seems like your snake is fine, they don't eat when stressed.
Do leave the 48 hour gap between feeding and a handling though, that is a rule. |
