My mum keeps telling me that 4 is enough, but she claims that Rocky is hers, so i think that entitles me to another.

Luckily for me I can get as many as I want as it's just me and my daughter :) Currently have 7 with another on the way in 10 days.

The cabinet I have turned into a rub rack can fit 12 rubs so I may stop at 12 lol

You have a point
I don't think there it is possible to have too many.
Provided you have the space, money and time to look after them all equally.
Then you can't get too many

4 snakes can all be cleaned out far too quickly, you know when you've enough when it takes you all day to see to them all :)
