A lot of the stuff you need is dependant on budget and the age/size of the corn snake you want.

They can be housed in vivariums, faunariums and RUBs (Really Useful Boxes). Vivariums (vivs) are more expensive, faunariums and RUBs are cheaper.

The basic equipment you will need without doubt is:

*enclosure (£10-£100 dependant on what you want)
*Heat mat (no more than £20)
*Thermostat (no more than £25) (I use the habistat mat-stat)
*Thermometer X2 (no more than £5 each) (I use exo terra)
Hides (no more than £10 each shop around for ones you like or make your own from cardboard boxes/tubes)
Substrate (depends on which one you choose, see care sheet)
Water bowl (any small bowl)
Artificial Foliage (Shop around, check dunelm mills, and local reptile shops)

Ebay is a great place to start pricing things up. I would set myself a budget, and try get what I need within that budget.

For the basic setup essential stuff (marked with a *) you'd be looking at £60, you can then make the rest, if you hunt around you can get it cheaper, its better to over estimate than come up short. Everything else you can make or use things you already have.
