Vin finally ate today! After refusing on Thurs (he normally eats every Thurs) and refusing again on Fri I was panicking! So relieved that I've seen him take something, had to brain the pinkie in the end but it was worth it! Sorry for the random post but just so pleased! *victory dance* x

Its best not to offer a corn food every day after a refusal as there may be reasons for it not wanting food, if it doesnt eat and has been feeding weekly previously, just wait till next regular feeding day.

Thanks gmac, doubt it'll be the last time he refuses, so good to know

milo isn't underweight, hes a healthy snake for his size, the pet shop guy told me to feed him on 1 medium rat a week (thats how he use to feed milo), is that to much? should i try a adult mouse?

If you feed rats sensibly then they won't make a corn fat, but if fed at the same rate as mice then they will. A medium rat a week is a huge amount for a corn of any size. My adult male gets fed fortnightly/3 weekly on a chick, XL mouse or the occasional weaner rat.

I'm glad Vin ate for you. Even tho' we know they can go a long time without food it's still a worry when they refuse!
