Hello everyone. My name is Paul I bought a cornsnake about 6 weeks ago. I am new to keeping snakes. I did keep lizards (waterdragon) but sadly she died after 11 years. So after nagging my misses for whats seems to be ages she finally let me get a snake (Pliskin). The cornsnake is 4 months old. Everything was going well, but the last few times I have tried to get it out of the tank to handle it, it tries to strike at me and hides. Does anybody have any suggestions of what I can do to stop this happening? Thanks, Paul

Hi
Welcome to the forum.
Keep getting the snake out, don't let him put you off. He needs to learn that his aggression won't stop you handling him. He'll work it out given time.....

Hi and welcome. Sorry to hear about your waterdargon. You won't regret having this little corn and I'm sure she'll settle down in no time.
If its only been over the last few times that she's behaved in this way it could be possible that she's going into shed perhaps.
