hi, back again
ive been reading up alot about corn snakes and ive been holding myn for about 1-2 hours a day, some forums say not to hold them that long?? am i doing the right thing or should i not hold her as much and will it affect her behaviour ??? help is much appreciated |

As long as your snake is happy to be handled then it's ok, although I would say that it's better to have a number of short sessions of about 5 to 10 minutes at a time rather than one long session. If you hold your snake for too long they can get too cold and even too hot! Short sessions certainly didn't do mine any harm. If your snake plays up or starts to refuse food then that might suggest it may be getting stressed from too much handling and you can cut back on the amount but I'm all for interaction with my snakes! |

i handle mine for approx the time of one programme on tv, so about half/ three quarters of an hour? thats every day apart from when her dinner is going down. shes fine with it but like has been said before it depends on your snakes prefferences. if your snake isnt stressing then crack on id say. jono |

Mine come out for about 10 mins a day. I do this to give them a quick check over and while I clean up their house and change water.
They seem more than happy to be handled buy are also very happy in their houses so I don't feel the need to get them out for hours to play with lol
I don't want to get pooped on eaither! |
