Most people know I've not long had Ambition.. I really wanted to turn this snake around and make her a real lovely tame snake, Today when I was handling her she striked at my little sister and tbh my little sister took the biite like a pro! But the mother wasent happy and thinks it's best if I let Ambition go to someone who more expertise on handling untame snakes as the only snake I have ever had has been really tame like kiss on the noes tame (Rusko)
So sadly if I can't make my mother change her mind will anybody from Derby area be willing to take in Ambition ? I wont be asking for much for her but there will be no Viv just the snake as I will defo be keeping my pet collection up as I love them =]

I agree. Keep going if you can, it's still very early days and don't let anyone else but you have contact with her. Let her get to know you and let her get used to you before she goes near anyone else.
Of course it's up to you but that's what I would do anyway.
Good luck. |

It would be such a shame if you have to find her a new home. We all know how dedicated to Ambition you are. I can understand you mum's point but if she could see you're being extra careful and working very hard to get Ambition tamed wouldn't she give you more time? Fingers crossed for you that it all works out ok. |

thats a shame. unfortunately it does happen and unfortunately although cat scratches are normally more painful than snake bites and a lot more common, "i got bitten by a snake" seems to invoke a lot more fear than "i got scratched by a kitten". snakes PR sector isnt very good!
I really hope you get to keep her, i really cant help but maybe get your mum to read these posts? either that or write a soppy sorry note from "ambition" to your sister. guaranteed to win ladies over (thats what my rainbow boa did when it moved in lol!)
Best of luck! |

Well I may be in abit of luck, A good family member has said he may straigh swap Ambition for a big female corn, He is come round next week to have a look at Ambition, He is one of them kinda crazy guys.. He has a few corns and a boa and ALOT of taranchula mainly bird eaters.. It would be nice to see her go to a fmaily member who lives not to far away.. Plus! I LOVE CORNS =] |

my blizzard zero was super snappy as a hatchie - no idea why as we handled him exactly the same as all the others, it took a while but as he grew he started to calm down..now 18months later he is a super snake and possibly heading for the softest snake award! hang in there as it does get better! but i totally see why your mother is a bit unsure but if your family member has said he will think about taking him on then at least you will still be able to see him and handle him |
