Gosh I feel awful the amount of questions and worries I have here and I am so sorry If I appear to ask too many silly things!

I gave him 2 fuzzies on Wednesday. (he should be on large mice) I was supposed to take him to see a specialist this weekend but a very high unexpected bill came in on acounts our boiler went down.
I have HAD to put it off. Of course I feel awful but I did take him on thinking he was a healthy complete set up snake... his conditions suggested otherwise and my biggest concern was the mice I found in his viv when he came.

He hasn't regurged the fuzzies which is fantastic but should I be expecting him to of pooed yet? Ive had him 9days. fed him on day 7 but still his viv is as clean and spot on as the day I put him into it.
Im thinking maybe he wont have as the meal was so small?

Now as he took the fuzzies which he barely had to open wide for even should I give him a small, medium or large mouse as he is apparently used to next? His feeding history is questionable and atleast 2 decomposing large mice were found in his viv when I got him ( i shut my eyes and bagged the rest not looking ...now wishing I had stomached it and been more observant so I had a better idea.
Went back to person I got him from and she said If I found a mouse in there it was regurged on route as he was fed 4days prior to coming to me... I didnt just find one! I clearly had atleast2!

What would you do next?

Give him time to poo its only been a couple of days,

nope don't feed him till next week, he will still have to digest his meal even if it was only a small one

I was going to wait till tuesday to feed him again (6days) but what size? go straight in for large or buy small or medium. Usually they come in packs of 10 so really confused... should I just go and buy one of something and see how he goes before buying in the packs or go straight in for a pack of 10 of what size?

Personally I'd go for a small or a medium as his feeding habits are still in question- better safe than sorry and all that!

Please don't feel bad about not being able to get to the vet, tbh, unless he regurges a few feeds in a row or starts losing weight rapidly I wouldn't bother taking him. But thats just me, you can ignore me of course!

It was our opinion he is underweight! Which was why we were going to take him coupled with how he came to us. Im leaning towards buying small mice and offering him 2 for the next 5 weeks then going up to medium if he does ok,, Then trying him on rat pups as they are i am told more fattening and I think he could do with some feeding up. I thought snakes were meant to be round... his pictures show he is but you can see his back bone all the way down moreprominent in some places than others and he is like ice to touch... He is my first adult so that could be normal but wow he is so cold compared to Charlie to pick up! have his heatmat working fine stable temp of 28 but he rarely goes onto his warm end but then I do note him go back and forth all day so have to think thats normal adult behaviour unless someone tells me different.
Seeing a specialist (he isnt a vet) would of been able to tell me for sure what condition he is in etc... tempted to ring up see if they will see him anyway as I am not sure they change a fee for looking them over but they would in selling all he needed... which I dont mind so much so really thinking of giving them a ring.

Pics?

Unfortunately, a lot of people have forgotten what a corn is supposed to look like because fat animals are becoming the norm nowadays.

My adults are pretty much always cold to the touch too.

So the prominent ridge down his back is normal? can feel it all the way down? I thought they were meant to be more rounded than he is?
The mice left over in the viv... I wish I got an honest answer out from the people he came from... is it possible he ignored them due to the conditions of the viv then?

Anymore rounded then he is and it would be verging on too big ;)

If snakes are kept in poor conditions, then yes, they can simply ignore food that is offered.

Thats good to know! infact thats brilliant I was sure he was underweight by far! With that in mind will buy medium mice and see how he goes if after a few weeks he is doing ok wil give him back large mice ...his recored say he was fed large mice every 6days (but look like they were written up all at same time quickly as no dip in handwriting and the paper is fresh.. and obv he didnt eat them all as I found atleast 2 plus shed in there and as I had him 9days n the viv is clean were thinkin it was 6+months worth of uncleaned feacies in there! I really wish I had taken pictures but unually when pics are fisrt thing I take it was in this case last thing on my mind. So glad I had people here when he came who helped me transfer him and set him up so quickly into something clean. Still have his viv outside in the garden.

PMSL!!! I think Gollum just sent you a message that he is in perfect working order. As the above peeps have said he looks to be a lovely size & shape. I would still slowly work up to bigger and bigger prey. I would steer clear of rats for corns, (I have a freezer full of them for the Royal, they are HUGE) they do just fine on mice. Your doing everything right, you've no reason to worry about the decisions your making. You have a beautiful apprarently healthy snake (just get a internal parasite check done), stop worrying and start enjoying.
