Guys this one has got me wondering...Well I have had amber now since the 15/9/10 and have kept a feeding and shedding record up to her last shed which was on the 25/9/10. Thing is that was a long time ago and my other snake Syd who is 4 years old, has had three sheds in that time. my question is should I be concerned?? she is eating well on two pinkies, so I cant understand why she has only shed once in over 9 weeks.

Thanks in advance

she is just 6 months old now, don't know her weight to be honest but she is most certainly not underweight I don't think.

Nothing to worry about, they shed when they are ready as they grow, has she grown much in the time without a shed? My Spot is 5 months and on fuzzys now, are you sure she is getting the right food size/amount etc. 1.5 times the size of the thickest part of the snake. Do the pinkies leave any lumps at all?

She does seem to be ready for the next step up in food, I plan now to use the remainder of pinkies in 2's each feed, every 7 days, and then move up to fuzzies. I hope she will be ready to shed in a week or so. Thanks for the advice :)

She will do it when she needs to, it takes lots of energy so they only do it when they need to.
