| whos arguing? all ive said is the advertising that goes with using the forementioned website has nothing to do with the size of the sig, which you said in your first post is what causes stupid sized sigs. But uve now said the size doesnt bother you so its all hunky dory :) xxx |

I don't have a problem with most sigs to be honest but, and I'm sorry if this seems like I'm having a go, but I logged on this morning and the first thing that is standing out on the posts I read is the sig banner you have made for Katie, The slideshow banners do my head in as they just dominate the page and I find them very distracting. It's a nice sig as is yours but I'm not keen on the slideshow ones.

Righty then.
Lets make this fairly simple shall we.
I wont have any whining about sigs regardless of what adverts might/might not be in them because quite simply I don't care much.
What I WILL say though is that my scroll wheel is wearing out with scrolling past quite spiffingly big sigs, it's not just images either, it's boxes of text.
I don't give 2 shining rectal expulsions if you have 3.1415 pies in your house, some sigs are massive.
Attached is a sig banner, if your sig is bigger than this TOTAL SIZE then I will remove your sigs from each post as it appears, simple.
Obviously you can have any sized banner you want, I just want the ENTIRE sig to be 800x300 pixels or less.
If you're unsure, email me on Kehhlyr@thecornsnake.co.uk and I shall measure your sig sizes and help to give advice on how to shrink them if needed.
There are NO discussions on this, if it's to big and I see it then I will remove it. NO ONE will have any treatment.
I did attempt to bring attention to giant sig sizes the other day with my massive 5mb forced refresh image I had, but as is typical of the forum lately only 2 people actually asked about it.
The sig images can obviously be smaller than that to allow for animal info underneath, quite often having the animal info next to a sig will reduce sizes of sigs drastically.

Sorry but just my opinion.
I only do them a bit bigger than normal signatures A) Because then the quality is better and B) Then people can see the pictures within the signature better.
When you an animated picture as a GIF. file, it fades the quality quite badly compared to say a PNG-24 image file.
So I do them slightly bigger. |

Also if you had used the left alignment option for the pic and the centre alignment as you already have it for the text it *should* put your sig image to the left of the text. |

I agree, it is about time, I only have a netbook and I know that makes my screen far smaller than average but almost every thread I am scrolling around forever! I love to see sigs with pictures but reasonably sized ones are far more appreciated, by me at least! :)

| I've noticed some of the writing underneath other peoples sigs are alot smaller in letter size than mine but I don't know how to alter the writing size!! Help!! |

Danny yours is 600x400 so is too tall, you will need to reduce the height by about a quarter of its height. If you mess about with the text Danny it should be OK

Tehbunneh, yours is 840 x 355, so both the width and height needs trimming down a bit. |

Use the forum coding, you when you reply to a thread, (not the quick reply), theres the size, font and colour options all in drop down boxes and it automatically makes the code, so just copy and paste it as the same coding applies to sigs.
[size=1*][/size=1*] or just that without the * :D May also want to cut out on the amount of lines the text takes up, you don't need a seperate line for each animal :3
