I have only had my snake for 2 weeks and she started shedding friday last week. Her skin looks really loose and flakes are sticking up. i found some skin in her tank 2 days ago which seems to have come off her head. There seems to be no more progress though and when i hold her it seems like she is having trouble moving and is all disorientated. I have raised the temp in the tank and misted it but doesn't seem to be helping. As it is the first time i have kept a snake and this is the first time she has shed i'm starting to worry Any suggestions or advice would be greatly apprieciated |

firstly you dont need to raise the temps.
Have a look at the sticky, I suggest you put in a moist hide for a day or 2 see if your snake can get it off for itself.
If this doesnt work, take a rub and fill it, to a max depth of /4 of your snakes thickness, with warm water, the temp should be about 29 deg C, and let your snake have a bath. Take your snake out and let it run itself through a towel, this should clear the remainder of the shed.

I agree with the others. And a sticky is a thread about an important topic, so the stickies are always at the top of all of the different sub-forums/sections in the site. For example, in General Keeping Information, there is a sticky about setting up your first hatchling, I dont remember the exact name, but it is something like Hatchling Setup - My 101. This is a good topic, therefore stickied and is always easy to hand at the top of the section along with the others. :)
I hope that made sense and sorry if I was blabbing! :P Tiffany-x |

you can try and mist the cage a bit or put some sticks in to help the snake rug the shed off |
