It sounds like she's about to shed. Normally it's only about 2-3 days after they loose the dull look that they shed. The time between the sheds varies from snake to snake and the younger snakes shed more often. As they get older and grow less quickly they shed less often. |

snakes tend to go off there food when they come up to sheding time so dnt worry abt that and a shed can go from a cupple days up to 2wks so just hang in there. |

Unless she has had a bad shed with you before, which im guessing she hasn't then i wouldn't bother raising the humidity.
Just leave her be, 90% of the time they will shed absolutely fine with no alterations. |

Let her slither through a warm, damp towel a few times, that normally works. If not get back to us and we can advise again. |

A retained tail tip isn't necesarilly a bad shed, thats just something that can happen as the snake is getitng the last little bit of skin off and sometimes isn't helped by humidity. |

If this is her first shed with you then she must have had retained shed on the tail tip from previous sheds. It will heal up and in no time you won't even be able to tell. Just make sure that you check her over everytime she sheds to make sure that the tail tip and eye caps in particular have come off. |

If it were my snake next time she started to dull over and her eyes went cloudy I would put her water bowl in the warm side of her viv and add a damp hide. Put some sphagnum moss in a hide and just make it damp, not soaking wet, and keep it damp until she's shed. I wouldn't mist because of the risk of RI's. That's just my personal opinion tho, some people mist without any issues. You can see the eye caps on the shed skin, they're really easy to see. You won't miss them. If you can't see them easily then she's probably retained them but don't worry about that for now. I doubt if that will happen! You shouldn't have any problems if you do that. |
