Well I got this beardie and in the shop noticed his tail seemed a little discoloured to the rest of his body. I put it down to his body has shed but tail hasn't. But today it seems to have lost even more colour. Just wondering if theres any beardie experts do they have any ideas? Heres a picture of the colour difference.

Shedding. It sometimes tales a while from the colour change to the shed. They don't shed all in one bit like snakes, they shed in sections. Nothing to worry about. He's a lovely looking chap. |

Ahhh, thanks very much, just if there was something wrong with his tail like some kind of infection or anything I wanted to get him the treatment he needs straight away. But all is well just wait for the shed, thanks a lot :D |

I'll second Herriot, its perfectly normal. Both mine shed like that. You'll probably have phases of finding flakes of skin in the viv for a while as they shed in bits. A warm bath might help. |

I don't mind having to like pick bits out every now and again and giving him a warm bath, just as long as he isn't hurt or in any pain then I am happy. |
