Its feeding time again in this mad household, and so we decided to take some photos of the newbies and my lovely, big ol' Ripley! He's SO big now, its hard to imagine he was ever the same size as Boa! When I got him, he was the same size as Widget, and now, he's grown so much in just a few short months! So here ya go guys, an update on all my kids, lol!
Ripley : 28.5"; approx. 75g; just over a year I believe now.
Widget : 20.8"; approx. 25g; just under a year I believe.
Boa'tata : 13.9"; approx. 10g; 5 months.
Thanks for looking ^^ |

Aww, thanks guys! I'm so proud of my little brood! Like I said to my boyfriend 'be thankful its snakes and not a child I'm trying to adopt!!' LOL!!
Mort, thank you so much for your kind words! I feel he may be a little under weight, as I saw mentioned in a prior thread that snakes should look like a loaf of bread, rather then a toblerone, and he seems to be getting to a point where he could start to have his spine stand out more then it should. He feels more frail then Ripley too, who is a big hunk of snake-y muscle but not that much older! Where as Ripley is around a year and 75g, Widget is only 25g, but this was done on mechanical scales, rather then electronic (a pair of which my boyfriend lovingly bought me today to advance my snakey passion! LOL!), so I'm hoping its not such a large difference between them, and rather bad weighing instruments, but just my handling, I can feel he is so much thinner. So yes, thank you for you sincere words, I'm sure he is thankful he has me too, apart from when I wake him up to feed him like today, lol!!!
I'm sure if he could, Ripley would thank you all for your compliments. I think that Lavender het of his has lightened his colour from a 'straight' Anery somewhat. When he was younger, he had the most stunning blueish-purpley hue to his grey. He's a stunning little beasty! And so docile! I could snuggle him all day, and he'd probably let me too, lol! |

Aww,bless poor Widget. Hopefully he'll put some weight on now he's in good hands as it certainly doesn't sound like he had the best start in life I'm sure he didn't mind being woken when he realised it was for dinner Sounds like Ripley is as beautiful in his ways as he is to look at. He really is stunning! |

Thanks X3 It was great yesterday, me'n the boyfriend were watching QI, and Ripley has a nesting box for a blue tit made from reed for his hide, and he was just resting his head on it, flicking his tongue, watching Stephen Fry and the gang. Not only is he the sweetest lump of snake ever, he is also edumacated, lol!!! And he has taste, so I'm not worried about him getting square eyes, lol! |

Ha,ha,ha you'll have to get him on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Just think how many more snakes you could get if he won!! I think Falcor is studying human behaviour. He's spent all afternoon curled up right out in the open at the front of the viv with his head ledged on the runner watching whats going on.
