i used neat bleach and boiling water then left the rocks to soak for 24 hours to get rid of the bleach smell - seemed to have worked!
not sure which is the best brand but i use cascade :) |

we use trigene disinfectant and we have tamodine-e aswell
you can also soak in a 10% bleach solution overnight as previously posted but rinse it off well |

Some people also suggest roasting in an oven for a few hours on 180c to kill off any nasty bugs and the like. |

Can't remember which way round it is, but bleaching and oven baking are very effective, and I think the bleach is 1 part bleach to 10 parts water?
So obviously bleach it, leave overnight, THOROUGH rinse, then oven cook at 100oC for a good hour or two but be very careful as rocks hold a lot of heat for a very long time. |
