Cora was fed the morning we got her so couldnt handle her until today. Must admit was nervous as shes our first snake BUT told ourselves to stop fretting.

Well done. It looks as if all went very well. Cora seems to be very chilled and calm about it all. Next time you'll be much more confident!! |

10-15 minutes a day should be fine. If she's happy with that then you could even do a couple of sessions a day. It's one of those things where you'll have to be guided by your snake. You'll soon get to know what Cora likes. |

I remember the first time handling Scarpetta our kingsnake, I was so scared that she'd get away or bite andwe even did the first few handling sessions in the bath til we got used to her and more confident with her... these days I'm so confident handling her I am totally relaxed and happy to handle her so when we got our little Ozzy I was very confident and just keep getting better at noticing when they want to come out and when they don't want bothered, its really an individual snake thing.
Cora looks great though - hope to see much more from her :) |

It is indeed, I had another snake, which unfortunately died, but never handled it as it was vicious, but I have held this one, wanted to get it in it's tank as soon as possible, let it get comfortable before disrupting it. |
