Who says women can't do DIY?!Loki moved into his new apartment yesterday after he'd been fed. He had a good explore and I saw him take a drink last night. He's now curled up in his coconut digesting his first fuzzie meal.

The last picture is the little boy I'm picking up on Sunday, can't wait!

If possible, I'd move the heat mat to one side or the other as well.
Keeping it in the middle can make a thermal gradient a bit more awkward to regulate properly.

I'm probably going to sound a bit thick here, but if I move the mat to one side won't one snake be warm and the other cold?

I did wonder whether that may be the case as its not really obvious from the pics looking at them and I've said its Lokis new apartment.
Been Dunelm and got a couple more plants. Got a bit of a funny look from a bloke there as he overheard me and the kids talking about getting them for a snake lol.
Looks better now

Absolutely that.
I didn't notice the partition and it didn't dawn on me in the other pics that it had been partitioned.
My mum did warn me.

Heh,heh easy done
The heat mats in the middle now but once the snakes are big enough for a larger viv I'll be taking out the partition and moving the heat mat to the left which is why I made the hole on the left hand side. The vine is threaded thorough a hole in the partition so it'll still be ok for when the viv is full size.
I'll be buying another viv too as the snakes will be kept seperately as hatchlings and adults

Hi,and thanks. I just measured the interior and got some contiboard cut to size and some iron on tape to cover the rough edges.
Made a notch for the heat mat to sit under it and theres a notch at the top for the vine to run through. The dividers held in place with aquarium sealant so theres no gaps, and I didn't want holes where nails had been with me wanting to use it as a full size viv after.
I've put felt on the facing edge of the divider as there was a slight gap between it and the glass and theres some felt between the doors too so they can't escape through them.
Good luck with your new snakey

That's nice! I'm thick, how did you partition? It looks like sadly with aquarium seal :( How will you remove it once you don't need it?
