A walk??????? Surely that would be dangerous for snakey considering what is on the floor in some places and that it can get quite cold sometimes :/

just seems like they got a big snake so they could show it off

not every one share our love for snakes, some have a real fear of them so a bit unfair to ruin peoples day out at the park,if people want to see snakes they go to the zoo.

So what about dogs? Some people have a real fear of them but you wouldnt stop somebody taking their dog for a walk in the park?

Dont get me wrong though, taking a snake for a walk is a daft idea, i mean they'll just slip straight out of the collar.

I have to say,if my son was with me he'd be perfectly happy about the snakes but he's petrified of dogs and having an dog jump up at him last time we went a park really didn't help (owner had no control over it at all!)
I love all animals but personally would be happier if they had a seperate dog area because of the small minority of irresponsible pet owners.

Its idiots like these that tarnish things for good pet owners, whatever type of animal it is.

This has given some interesting opinions, it's been good.
I for one personally wouldn't bring my snakes to the park for a wander in the grass, however I will happily do it in the garden and at the end of the day there's just as much chance of catching a bug from in the garden as there is in the park.
I'd imagine that most people who were scared of snakes wouldn't come to close to it, and those that are interested would. It does seem a bit show offy, but to be honest if I had that snake I'd probably wanna show it off as well, however just putting it in the boot was a bit silly.
There's also a massive difference to bringing it for a walk in the park compared to just bringing it downtown and wearing like a some sort of fashion accessory/handbag.
The small girl with the little BCI for example seemed to me to be the one who was more wearing it to show off compared to the lad who was just taking it 'for a walk'.
