I went to the Wasatch Reptile Expo today and came home with a gorgeous pair of Crested Geckos. I have been wanting a pair of these guys for a while now, and since they were set at a price that I could not turn down, I went ahead and got them. They're now chilling in their new home, so it is going to be a very long two weeks before I can start to handle them. :D

They are huge eyes and they are VERY tiny. lol. They're actually babies. Kika hatched out last month...Moko the month before that. At least that's what I was told. lol! So they are very young and small and will hopefully grow into those eyes eventually. |

Ha ha ha! Now Rachie. Aaron, they are surprisingly easy to take care of. They do not need additional heat if your house stays in the 70F-75F range (they prefer a cooler setting). They will eat crickets and mealworms, but it is not necessary to feed them insects if you get a good quality Crested Gecko Diet. This is a powder that you mix with water into a smooth paste. You can even blend it up with some bananas, peaches or pears. They are so easy that it's almost unbelievable. And they're so adorable. |

I know what I'm getting next pay cheque.... commence research!
The biggest problem I have is that a 45cmx45cmx60cm viv is ever so slightly too big for my room and a 30cmx30cmx45cm is ever so slightly too small for a crestie! Anyone know of any alternatives to exo terra vivs that might be inbetween these two? |
