I really like Bloodred corns and the adult on ians vivarium is gorgeous. I love the solid red colour with no patterning hardly.
Do they all end up solid red or do some keep the orangey pattern? Ive seen loads of pictures that have the pattern and 2 tone colour, are these just young ones? |

Hi Gaz, Bloodreds dont really reach their full colour in till they are around 5yrs old! At this time their colour should be at its deepest red! Some do keep their saddle marking but some do look more of a solid red snake! Sort of depends on lineage and hets can change a snakes appearance too!
Best thing to do is get a striped bloodred as these mature into a solid red snake! Stunning snakes! |

Go for it Gaz! They are stunning as adults and the het fire should make it even more red!
When he put Bloodred Stripe het fire it really means Bloodred het Amel as Amel bloodred is fire! I think thats what Brook is saying and she is right! Sometimes people put what it could produce as it makes it easier for the buyer so they know what they can produce when bredding! So you could make Bloodred stripes and Fire Stripes etc!
I think the het will affect the snake and make it even more red! |

Thanks Doogle.
I am collecting one Sunday :-)
A few people have said that these will not be bloodred stripes due to low price and most likely diffused stripes. Have you seen Petes bloodred's? What do you think?
Thanks
Gaz

I have quite a few of petes snakes in my collection and i also have a few ready to be picked up from him at the moment! They are quality snakes mate! Bred from some of the best lines in the uk! Say hi from me on sunday! You are one of a few that will own a bloodred stripe in the uk as not readily avaliable at the mo!
They look a little patchy as hatchling but grow into stunners! I will be produce quite a few next season! |

The propper term would be Bloodred het Amel, if it is a true bloodred otherwise Diffused het Amel. |

Yeah the word bloodred is a selective breed of the diffused morph but now in the uk the word bloodred is associated with all diffused morphs! I suppose we just use it as slang for diffused as its earier to associate a red snake with! I think it would be hard to know if you have a genuine bloodred! I have quite a few bloodreds/diffused and hypo bloods in my collection but without tracing lineage how would you know whats bloodred or diffused? |
