i am sad to say that are latest rescue has ended in a bad way,the snake we were caring for has taken a a turn for the worst. it puked up its pinky head and went into cave this mornin ,as i was clearin up the mess i noticed the snake was in a weird position on closer inspection he was dead.i had a good look at the body and found what i think are mites and quite a few. we are goin to bury the little guy soon at moment we are clearing viv.if only we had known sooner we might have been able to do something.thanx every one for all your help we have decided that when the time is right we will be buying a new cornsnake from a proper place

Thats a real shame, unfortunately that is sometimes how it goes, and to be honest, i am not shocked, he was in such a bad way that it would have taken something quite spectacular to bring him round. Dont get me wrong, that is in no way your fault, you gave him what he needed, quality of life, even though it was a short one. i had a similar situation with a leo, it got to the point where there really wasnt anything else we could do, and although its hard not to blame yourself, you should really be quite proud of yourself, taking on a snake that was in serious need, and giving it what it needed, although too late, theres not a huge amount of people that would have done that.
Dont let it put you off, and i see it hasnt, which is good, quite clearly you are going to give the snake exactly what it needs, i am sure your new chap will want for nothing.
